I too have a 99 9-5 with 81,000 miles on it which has never idled smoothly. Lately, however, it has started to idle insanely roughly (800-1300 RPM at a stoplight and the car will actually lurch forward, making for interesting driving, especially since I live in NYC). I have an appointment at my mechanic to have the fuel system cleaned out. Think this might fix the problem? I should say yeah, it's been really hot lately, and yeah, I've done mostly city driving since the last time I had the car tuned up (last November). Most of this thread has been really reassuring -- at least I know I'm not alone...
