The last post that I read in this thread seems to be the most accurate. If you are (even a moderate) Do It Yourselfer, then you shouldn't have a problem. I've performed every major service (60k, 90k...) myself with a few exceptions. A couple of tranny mounts, a DI Cassette (that I replaced myself), a crank sensor and a few other little things have been it. I bought mine in 02 with 60k miles for $15k. The car new was over $40k. Where else can you do that?? I also have an 04 RX-8 that has been towed to the dealer more times than has my Saab, and I've only owned the Mazda for 6 months.
