Coolant by-pass valve was my question..... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Proactive repair or just crazy....., 8AA2YM, Fri, 11 Aug 2006 09:24:38 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I am not sure if it would be easier to replace this valve now also, or wait until/if it fails.
I replaced all the pulleys at 105,000 miles and plan on replacing the upper idler with my belt at my D-I-Y 180,000 miles service. I am not really looking forward to doing the lower idler a second time at 240,000 miles though.
My turbo by-pass valve has been replaced twice, first with another Saab OEM model and more recently with a Forge brand valve which utilizes replaceable diaphragms.
The turbo inlet pipe I am referring to is the metal pipe connecting to the turbo inlet.
I have installed the larger inlet snorkel, Saab/Remus exhaust (90,000 miles ago), and will be installing genuinesaab's new performance air filter with the rest of my 180,000 mile items. I also plan on swithing to synthetic fluid in the auto tranny this itme.
