I got the numbers of the struts and springs.
Struts: SACHS 45 66 634
Springs: 5 062 351
Driver and passenger side match.
Hunting around on the web, it looks like I have the sport suspension in the car. I did this by matching up the part number above to part numbers I see on the web.
Thanks for the info on the "Sport Suspension" package. Compared to the price my dealer gave me ($289.28/strut + labor), it seems like it is a bargain.
I am not sure if the car was in an accident. I know the hood was repainted. I always thought it was repainted because of chips on the front lip of the hood. Maybe it was painted for another reason...
I spoke to a vendor and they suggested I look at the strut mount (I think I got that right) It is what the strut sits in at the top of the fender. I guess I can remove the black cap and look around.
