For my 1999 9-5, I had replaced my rotors with Brembo brand and some so-called ceramic pads, but the result was high rotor wear and absolutely filthy wheels. I replaced these with Zimmermann cross-drilled rotors and Akebono Euro pads up front and the results are no less than amazing!! The front wheels stay cleaner than the rear. Virtually no dirt and no abnormal rotor wear. As for the rears, I got new OEM rotors, pad and parking brake shoes. I should have left well enough alone and left the parking brakes alone since now, I get popping noises from the rear often when I apply the brakes. Hopefully I can solve this annoyance. Otherwise, Akebono Euro is a fantastically clean and true ceramic pad!
