I read on thesaabsite.com that MAF failure causes black smoke out the tailpipe. That's what I'm getting, its not a blue smoke like i've heard with the turbo although the dealer told me last week that my turbo was leaky a little oil and may need replacement in the future. I can't say for whether or not I've had boost problems as my 9-5 does not have a boost gage. The car is running BSR Stage 2 software with the remus sport exhaust and hyperboost HX bypass valve. I've been running the BSR for about 27K now without any issues. I'll keep you posted. I ordered the MAF today and should be here tomorrow. Installed by early next week. Took the car to the gym tonight, came out 1.5 hours later and wouldn't start. Came back 2.5 hours after that and started right up. Very frustrating. Love Saabs but they definitley have reliability issues. Things go wrong with them that would rarely if ever go wrong in other more reliable cars, like japanese cars. This is my first Saab, I've had it for almost 4 years now and have a lot of fun with it but i don't think I would buy another Saab at least right now. Am considering a Jetta GLI as my next car. We'll see what happens with the 9-5. Thanks again.
