Just now while driving back home about 3 miles or so away from home, my Check Engine Light came on. The car seems to be runnign absolutely fine. I drove home without any issues. Can this happen if the weather is cold ? You would laugh if I mentioned that I live in Phoenix and the temperature outside is about 45F.
The car has been doing fine except the starter that seems to have been taking few seconds longer than it used to. When I took it to the dealers he said its probably because of the cold weather and there is nothing wrong with the car. While I was there he also replaced the IDM cassettes that were on a recall (none of them had failed though, in fact one of them I had already gotten replaced when it failed few months back).
Its saturday and the dealers won't be open until tuesday morning. I had a 2-day vacation planned involving about 500 miles of drive starting tuesday. Should I not that that ?
I am going to start the car again tomorrow morning and try to drive around my neighbourhood and see if I see any issues.
