My experience. Let Saab and the dealer do things in the order they are willing to. They don't care that it costs them more in labor and that it inconveniences you. Just insist that they keep at it until the cars alignment readings are within spec. Shocks alone will do nothing to help so expect at least springs and then shims and/or a rear subframe. I got a new subframe when 2 shims per side did nothing to help. The rear subframe is a better fix because then you can still add shims when it fails a second time around. My car is within spec unloaded but it looks pretty bad when loaded so I'd say I am only 30% satisfied. Any long loaded trip and I can expect another complete failure and have to be very careful not to blowout another tire.
Are you working with Saab USA directly? or through your dealer? Which dealer?
