It's true, the ABS TCS module may go. It's true they seem to go more on yr2000. It's true that the dealership replacement cost quotes can be anywhere from $2,000 to $3,500. It's also true that no one who has any experience at all with a 9 5, or an SE V6, or this bulletin board would ever spend that kind of money. Instead, you can pull the unit out with simple tools and a near perfect set of step by step photo instructions, send it in to be rebuilt and have it back in your car in about a week for around $300. Or you can order a rebuilt one for $400 plus a core charge, and send your's back for a full core refund. And in my opinion, the V6 is a far more refined and reliable engine than the 4. Just my $.02.
