1999 9-5 2.3 lpt with 105k. no warr. starting to look HARD at those new Sonatas!!! not bad. but not a Saab ride either! price and ease of mind -vs- style, ride, performance, etc. tough. VERY tough. I've looked at all the following and havent done anything yet. I have mine on the classified list but probably asking too much (per do I really want to sell her??):
Hyundai Sonata
Acura TL (preowned) 2004+
Saturn Aura (Saab's little secret cousin - Saab and Opel)
Ford Fusion & 500
Accord & Camry
for the money, it's Sonata all the way. The Aura has the edge on interior styling, wheel "stance" styling, etc and Saab influences - Saab and Opel designs and parts). Acura is of course awesome and far above the other cars listed here (Saab aside) but cant afford new one. Fords ride like loud trucks. Accord/Camry are just higher priced Sonatas (I know; it's the reverse of that) with less warr. why bother. Sonata is top of my list for NEW cars in the sedan category. also, all these cars had to fit 3 car seats in the back which they do with the middle being just a booster seat.
good luck!!!
