Sage, my beautiful green sportswagon baby is in the shop. I read here that Tibor at Swedish Car Service in Bound Brook is excellent. My car went into Limp Home Mode (one cylinder and CEL blinking) the other day on the way from work. I had her towed to Tibor's. So far she needs an ignition module, plugs, some kind of gasket (left the list home today). Anyway it's going to run me around $800 + towing, and he will not know until all these parts are replaced as to whether the cat converter needs replacement (another $1700-$1800). Some would say that it would be time to replace her. Unfortunately, that's not an option. You see, I live in NJ. 2 years ago Sage was totalled when a man had a heart attack at the wheel, headed toward me on the highway and hit her. As a result my collision (and part of my retirement) got her back on the road. His insurance company did not need to pay a dime because, in the wonderful state of NJ, they don't have to, as he was not negligent, he was dying. So anyway. I'll let you know how it goes.
