Thanks. I thought about putting it there, but was concerned that I would have trouble using it with my left hand. By the way, you mention that you put it in your door pocket. I would be concerned that the opening and closing of the door would jar it. I found that it slips very nicely into the pocket at the front of the seat. I think it's more out of sight there as well. (Now I know why Saab put that pocket there!)
I have noticed a difference in speed. I don't know whether this is a class-action waiting to happen against Saab or not. There was something about a case against Honda a while ago, where they argued that the speedometer inaccuracy was reasonable. Lots of people suspected Honda (it might not have been Honda) was trying to run out the clock on its warranty obligations sooner. If you have a 3% inaccuracy, you're putting 3% more miles on the car, so your warranty runs out 1,500 miles sooner. To me, that's no big deal, but I'm sure there's a plaintiffs' attorney out there waiting to make it one.
