I don't know what a "Wynn's warranty" is, but most extended warranty's cover "drive-train components". A blown engine is part of the drive-train. If you can prove proper maintenance ($5K sounds more than proper), then they shouldn't have a leg to stand on. If it were me, I would push to fix the car, and keep pushing this battle uphill. What a pain in the A$$, to say the least. The Wynn's company is also responsible to reimburse you for a rental while your car is being fixed. In the long run, they are betting you will be too scared to pay for the tear down, and rental car, and other big ticket items, in which case they will get off cheap. Your car is not worth anywhere near 14K with no engine, so your better off fixing it, to have it. BEST OF LUCK! -Ian
