Since water was up to the seat bottom the entire exhaust system has had (may still have) water in it. After you get the car running...frequently listen for the sound of a hole in the exhaust system. If it does happen...you may want to replace everything in one shot (except perhaps the catalytic converter). There are good after market systems available for a real price break (versus OEM).
I just went out to my 9-5 and measured...the bottom of the seat is about 15". That would submerge all of the lower parts in the drive train, the exhaust system, and parts of the braking system. None of these areas are intended for underwater use.
