Can user input be made more quantitative?

These forums contain considerable "qualitative" information that can be useful in addressing issues that face SAAB owners. For example, in searching for posts relating to Aero 9-5 inner tire cupping, I came away with the impression that is it mainly the right rear tire that experiences this problem to the greatest degree. Perhaps this is because I found this to be the case on my car but since there is no "quantitative" data compiled, it is very difficult to ascertain. Is there any reason why would it not be feasible (for owners) to be able to input specific data relating to various issues in a specified format (e.g. csv) that would be compatible with spreadsheet analysis? Site users should then be able to download the relevant database so the user could derive specific quantitative information. For example, does the 9-5 fuel pump have tendency to fail at 140K miles or is it a random distribution as a function of mileage? Do certain VIN numbers experience more failures than the norm? Questions such as these, and a whole host of others, could readily be addressed and accessed by owners as they accumulate miles on their vehicles. After all, this is the information age and each model year more and more digital data is acquired and available to the owner, provided that said owner has the interest and/or desire to acquire that information. If this issue has been previously discussed, please point me to the relevant reference. Thanks!
