Sorry to post this again so soon, but I'm hopeful to get more feedback from the beginning. I'll open a whole new can of worms here and start the debate about 9-5 rear camber settings. Mine is a 1999 2.3lpt 5 spd with 132K miles now. An accomplished performance Saab enthusiast has advised me that for most normal average driving (like mine), the factory specified negative rear camber is unnecessary (and even incorrect..) as the car weighs plenty to keep the rear in place. As such, shimming the rear camber to an "out of spec" 0 degrees will decrease the typical rear inner edge wear and cupping which, even with frequent front to back tire rotation, tends to chew up a set of tires. I did swap out the original suspension to a 2001 Aero setup (minor lowering..) and shimmed back to factory spec. but the tires just eventually cup anyway. I admit I haven't tried setting the camber to straight up 0 yet, but would welcome anyone else's opinions and experiences. I assume the rear toe-in was set to factory spec and this is not an additional error in original design.
Thanx,
Kirk D.
