I'm in the death throes of AC work on my 2000 Aero. Yikes: what moron designed this system? The issue tok seems to be dealing with is the usual lack of cooling. Bet the recirculation door 'arm' is broken. Check to see if there is an increase in sound/volume if recirc is selected on the ACC panel. It does not display an error code if it is broken. Next trick is tracking down the leak. If the evaporator is leaking 134a, you're in for a real DIY treat. Just did mine (that area was soaked in dye). Do-able but have patience and a world class supply of cuss words. Used up most of mine. At least, at the end, it still doesn't work correctly. Leak is somewhere else or I didn't get one of the O rings in properly and it is leaking elsewhere. Held vacuum beautifully but no pressure. Will check the compressor next... Yes, expansion valve done at the same time. Can't get the receiver/dryer out as the factory placed the clamp in such a way that I'll have to drill a hole in the frame to get to the screw. As I said, what moron designed this thing...
