Allan,
I installed the Moto IHF1000 in my 2004 Aero wagon and my wife's 2003 Aero sedan. Installation was easy because I plugged into the onstar plug behind the ACC unit. We do not have ipods and are not interested in streaming music to our car audio from a device. Our unit can store voice tags and numbers which may be required if your phone doesn't have that capability. This is from Motorola's description of the IHF1000 "It's simple because it's voice operated—dial by name or number. Answer or reject incoming calls with announced incoming Caller I.D.".
The description for the T605 system says "Convenient voice dialing (requires mobile phone with voice tag capability)".
If you have a phone that supports voice tags and you desire to stream music via bluetooth from a device then the T605 unit may be what you want (I have no experience with this unit). You may want to view a demo before you buy.
We are very happy with our Moto IHF1000 units. I purchased online for about $160 each from a private ebay seller.
