I received the following BS letter from Brad Davis the head of Hendrick in Charleston...What a CROCK!!!!!!!What about you and me with CPO, etc....

Dear Saab of Charleston Customers: After many years of struggling to gain market share and growth in the Charleston Market, I made the difficult decision that we could no longer continue to operate the Saab franchise as part of our Rick Hendrick Imports complex.(SERVICE HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREAT>>>SALES NOT SO GREAT) It is extremely disappointing to us that at a time when quality and desirability of the product are at their peak, the Euro/Dollar exchange rate has made it difficult for General Motors to forecast an increase is Saab sales in the US for the future. After finding a potential buyer for the franchise, GM has exercised its right of first refusal to repurchase the franchise. Currently they have not identified the new location for the Saab franchise in Charleston, but they are committed to not leaving the franchise unrepresented in our market. GM is promoting a “channeling” strategy that will place the Saab franchise in facilities where it can partner with other GM franchises. This will allow a dealership to share sales, service and parts resources and should increase the opportunity for the new owner to provide quality services to you and profitability to them. Until the announcement of the new Saab location, Rick Hendrick Imports will provide assistance to make sure your service needs are handled. General Motors has promised us there will be a mechanism to get emergency warranty repairs handled in Charleston during this interim period. I’m happy to announce that all the familiar faces you’ve come to know will be staying with us at either the BMW or Volvo franchise, except for Mike Green who will be dedicating time to care for his ailing mother. Mike’s incredible talents and work ethic leave the door open for Mike to return to us should his situation stabilize.
