The carpet is not glued to anything. It stays in position from a combination of being molded to the space, and all the stuff around it.
WIS doesn't say anything in particular about carpeting. You'll just have to start taking things off of the car until it's free. At the least the seat, door sill, and probably center console will have to be removed, or at the very least, loosened to the point you can move the carpet.
