Rough Idle Normal?

Ok, now that I bought my first Saab ('03 9 5)since '00 (others have been leased)and I'm in a quandary over extended warranty/no extended warranty....I start to wonder about my rough idle....the car starts up fine, hasn't stalled in the **4** days I've had it.....was checked out to satisfaction by my indie mechanic (needs alignment, hoses and PCV)but when I'm sitting in traffic, the idle seems a little rough....like if it were just a tad more rough, I might stall...or at least sputter...otherwise smooth.....great acceleration; like it so much more than the 9 7x I just turned in (especially the gas mileage). Never had a 9 5...are they inherently rough idlers? Could the hoses have something to do with it?
