Ever since we put cheap pads and rotors on the front of my 2001 sedan I have not been happy with the stopping performance of my car. This was right after we bought the car which came with literally no pad left (the rivets in the pads were contacting the rotors) so I don't really know the potential of my brakes. I have been having to put way too much effort into romping on the brake pedal to stop my car, especially when the roads are wet. The rear pads and rotors are probably coming up on needing replacement in the spring, while the fronts probably have another 20k miles on them. Damn. If I put nicer pads and rotors on the back would it help? I think they're OEM Saab right now. Or could there be another problem? About a month after replacing the fronts I wasn't happy with them and took the car down to Midas and had the lines inspected and the fluid changed and bled. No change, and they gave me a clean bill of health. Next time I plan to spend more money and more time getting GOOD pads and rotors. At least they don't make any dust...
