I currently have a 9000 and am looking for the next Saab purchase.

Looking for wagon since I loved the flexibility and space with the 9000.

Originally was looking for a manual but reading here it sounds the auto's are working great now too! The v6s seem pretty nicely option'd. Not quite sure the mileage difference. Wish I lived out East seems a bunch more wagons!

I found a really nice 2001 se with the 4 speed automatic. It has all the good stuff and 72k miles. Dealer replied "This car has had the timing chain / belt tensioner / maintenance service at 60K.
It was a Saab Certified Warranty car with maintenance records up to 66,405 miles."

Another is a 2003 Arc with 61K with the 5 speed auto. Private seller and
much further away. Also had the timing chain replaced at 60k and sounds like he also has all the maintenace records.

Price difference less than 2k

Questions:
What's the difference in mileage or gearing on 4 speeds vs 5's. What kind of mileage are you getting? Do they still have the rear fog lights (red)? I also like having the weather band, and rear seat heat. I don't think the 03 has it. Deal breaker probably not

Thanks for the info. I tried to do as much research so you guys aren't answering the same questions. I certainly welcome your comments! Thanks!
