Greetings, I'm new to saabnet, and a new Saab owner (2 days now). I bought a 2002 9-5 V6 Wagon 2 days ago. I had a CEL come on before I got home.

Some History, Car was purchased at Auction in August and saw little action until now. 58k miles when I picked it up. After 80 miles, CEL came on.

Today I brought it to Alpine Imports here in Cinci (found on this site) They found OBD2 codes of 0410 and 0420. These were explained as Secondary Air Pump and the Catalyst. I was told they were related.

The guy told me that my car has an 8/80 emisions warranty, so it should be free when i get my 60k service. He also said it could be because the car has sat, and just needs to be driven. Also note the car was empty when I picked it up, and the previous owner put in $25 of low octane gas. Perhaps that could do it?

Looking for any comments on my situation. Didnt think I would be debugging my car the day I bought it. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing.
