You are correct Steven. Just confirmed this with my Saab parts guy. The unit I have been hauling around as a spare in my 00 9-3 is a black 3.6 T7 unit. He confirmed it is the same unit and p/n as used on my 04 9-5 Aero. So now it will go into the trunk of the Aero, (due to the recent CEL's) in the case we need it to avoid a tow. The Aero is still under warranty, so we would get a free one, where the spare would go back in the trunk of the 9-3 for the next failure. New SID is on order as half the pixels went away. They have plenty of DIC's in stock so I may have it replaced when they put the new SID, trunk struts and flimsy cupholder in.
Disappointing that some of these long standing problems have not been worked out. I have been reading these posts here and on the NG900-9-3 board for years and it irks me to see this crap still going on. Maybe thats why they took a Chevy radio and stuck it in the newer 9-5's.
