The manual is electronic, called a "WIS" (workshop information system). It's quite comprehensive, and in conjunction with the electronics parts catalog (EPC) you can do anything you have the tools and inclination to try. Sometimes people who post on this board have both available through some kind of sharing site. You can also find the CDs on eBay sometimes.
Changing out the Turbo shouldn't be too great a task. The DIC should have been updated by now, either through failure or the recall. What I do recommend is taking it to a dealer and have the circa MY2003 software loaded. It extends DIC life and adds a layer of diagnostics. The new style last much, much longer, but not forever, and especially not forever with the olde software.
Drive belt is rated at 60K mi (100K km). I replaced mine at 50K mi (my habit), and shouldn't have bothered. There were no cracks, and all the pullies rolled smooth and free. Oh well, I now have useable spares.
Yours is the second Aero I'm aware of that some moron put small rotors onto - and get this, the other was *certified used*. And it's not like there's a price difference.
It's a little late now, but sludged engines should always have Bob Bright's trick oil pan installed. It has a trap door under the oil screen that both catches debris (there's a slight depression) but also allows you to clean out the screen again whenever you change oil. Short of hot=tanking the block and head, a sludged engine will never stop shedding debris.
Good luck with it.
