V6 don't hold their value as well as the 4cyl but they are a fine car aslong as the timing belt & tensioner are changed (every 60K max) & unfortunately expensive. If this din't happen, the tensioner can fail causing the belt to slip & the valves can hit the piston toasting the engine. If the belt & tensioner are new then you are good to go.
