1999 9-5 SE 2.3T 152K.
First time my car wouldn't start it was still warm. The car cranked and cranked, wouldn't fire. I could hear the fuel pump, and the fuel rail had good pressure. I swapped the DIC and the car started right up. Drove fine for 2 days.
Second time my car wouldn't start it was dead cold, sat all night. After cleaning the throttle body, air intake, changed the air filter, gapped the plugs (dry as a bone even after all the cranking)... the car started fine!
Next day the battery was dead after sitting in the car with the OBDII code reader for a while. Figured the battery was weak anyway, so I replaced it. I also replaced the spark plugs. Car started fine, ran great for a whole week.
This morning my car wouldn't start... cranking, no fire. So I pulled off the intake and played with the TB butterfly valve, same as Marcus. No start. In an act of desperation I sprayed starting fluid into the TB... Started right up!
So what is the problem??? No fuel delivery? I have a CPS I will install this weekend, but it seems like that wouldn't be it (problems starting cold and hot).
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you.
