torque rod and torque arm mounts advice

finally going to replace the upper mounts (upper tranny and RH upper engine) and was inspecting the torque rod (longer dog bone) and torque arm. everything looks OK and in place with some minor cracking on the torque rod bushing (rectangular-ish rubber area toward rear of car end of the rod). when I push on it, the rear part of the torque rod (rectangular rear-car end) is quite loose. is this normal or is it done? the same rectangular rubber area of the torque arm (front of tranny on front of car, the short one) does move a little but seems much more firm. deal? both done? rod only done? normal? wont matter? thanks!!
also, any thoughts on the main rear mount? dealer says its a hydrolic (not solid rubber like the others) and much less often need replacement unless leaking or visibly torn. visualyl, mine looks OK. figured I would replace all the easier ones first and see how the car idles and drives. my main complaint is super rough idle (127k miles).
