The battery was BAD!! I took it to Autozone, the guy wheeled out the cart and did a load test on the battery. The screen on the cart started flashing "BAD BATTERY - BAD BATTERY - BAD BATTERY." So I asked to do a test on the charging system so I went in and revved the engine to 2k and he put all sorts of crazy loads on the alternator. I had chimes going off and lights flashing on the dash, haha, but it was charging perfectly. So I called Saab back and they just had to do a hydrometer test on the battery to confirm. Sure enough it had a dead cell. The service writer was getting really pissy, I was not pleased. Because I bought the battery through parts and put it in myself he didn't want the tech to swap out the battery for me. "Not unless he wants to pay for it!" What was I supposed to do, take the nuts off the cables with my teeth!? Thanks, doucher. The tech who did the hydrometer test was very nice though, ignored his boss and just threw it in for me. The car cranks MUCH faster now, but I'm not sure how that will affect starting it cold in the morning. We'll have to see. Thank you VERY MUCH for everyone's input!
Here's a quick video showing off my awesome editing skills (not) to get an idea of cranking speeds with a dead cell vs. a new battery. Enjoy! haha...
