My wife and I both drive 9-5 Aeros, hers the 2003 sedan and mine the 2004 wagon. I also like the parts commonality and similar mx items. Her first Saab was a 1987 900S and her second a 1996 900S both cars picked up in Germany. She liked the old black 1987 Saab better than the 1996. She thinks her 2003 Aero is similar in handling to the old Saab. Our Aeros were the first automatic transmissions for either of us. I must admit I don't really miss the manual. I still get to drive a manual when we vacation in Europe.
Good luck with your 9-5s! Happy driving.
Dano
