Not horrible, but not as clean as I would like it to be. The dust, grit, and grime from 9+ years of use need to be cleaned away.
I typically hand wash the fender and front cowl extensions under the hood when washing the car, and have removed the engine cover for a good scrubbing a couple of times. I would like to polish the turbo heat shield as it is heavily dulled and appears almost pitted in spots. Maybe I should just buy a new one as they are surprisingly inexpensive!
