I've just given this a lot of thought before working on my car. First, based on everything I've seen posted here, and now looking at my own stock front struts, I think they can last for a very, very long time, well past 150km.
The rears, of course are another story entirely. I went with Bilsteins as a replacement for a couple of reasons, but the primary one was that they're bulletproof reliable. Konis are a very good shock, but I've heard stories about the occasional failure, particularly with the FSDs; I have no interest in ever replacing my shocks a second time on this car. Obviously, the Bilsteins don't appear "bulletproof reliable" to you right now, but have you checked if you can get a warranty replacement?
All that said, if I had decided to go with new shocks/struts all around, I probably would have gone with the FSDs; they do sound like a substantial improvement over current shock technology.
