The engine lift bracket, thermostat tube and dip stick tube has to be moved and rotated in unison to get them up and out at the same time.
It's a freaking super stupid design and since the thermostat tube have a tendency to corrode stuck to the thermostat housing, it is a battle of the wills to free it up and make it move.
Usually I can get away with not pulling the dip stick tube all the way out but lift it slightly while rotating the thermo tube and pull that out.
It's much easier to put it together since the o-rings are lubricated at that time.
