I'm going to start doing some home diagnostic stuff to my Aero to try to figure out why the idle is so rough and stumbly. I'm going to start by testing for vacuum leaks. Propane was suggested, but I don't entirely trust myself to be huddled over a running engine with an open can of propane in my hand. It's probably perfectly safe though. I was going to try a more traditional method and go buy a vacuum tester. The kind with a hand pump and gauge; hopefully not terribly expensive.
I think it was TG who mentioned that the vacuum system should hold about 20 pounds. Is there a central place where I can plug one of these in and pump it up or do I just need to do all the valves individually? The bypass valve is suspect numero uno so I'm just going to do that by itself as per WIS.
Well I'm off to find a pump. Thanks!
