This morning I took out my Genuine Saab polyurethane transmission mount because I wanted to see if it's the cause of my extra idle vibration. I also cleaned my MAF. The idle vibration isn't much better but I need to give it a week or so; I only drove it around the block. But in going around the block, my car corners like a '90's Grand Caravan! In a straight line there's a ton of slop in the steering wheel in both directions and it doesn't bounce back to the center. It's about 20 degrees off. I do remember the poly mount adding a little tightness to the steering back when I installed it, but I don't remember the improvement being THAT great. I'm going to leave the poly mount out for now and see how it behaves this week, but if the steering is going to stay sloppy like this, the poly mount is going back in! I just fail to see how that mount makes so much of a difference in cornering/handling.
