Okay, so the MAF is circled in red below. It's just held in with big hose clamps. First, I loosened the hose clamp that keeps the black tube secured to the cobra pipe that goes into the turbo. This allows the black tube to slide further onto that pipe. Now undo the hose clamp on the turbo side of the MAF. Mine were stuck on pretty well because the rubber tends to adhere to stuff when it sits there for five years. I used a flat head screw driver to pry the rubber off the lips of the MAF. Next, undo the third hose clamp and remove the MAF. Don't forget to unplug it (on the bottom).
Once the MAF was out I further disassembled it. It has four Torx screws that sandwich the plastic part between the aluminum parts. Remove those screws and pull the MAF apart into three pieces. DON'T TOUCH the electrodes and resistors in the MAF. They are EXTREMELY fragile and if you break them you're going to be buying a new $280 MAF. Ouch. Once I had it apart I just followed the directions on the can of CRC.
People may say taking the MAF apart isn't necessary but I had solvent sloshing around in the housing after spraying it a couple times. If I missed anything let me know. I'm happy to help.
