Changing the trans mount (torque link) knocked the steering wheel 20 degrees off center? Or was it like that before?
I don't see how engine mounts could affect steering or alignment. Only connection from engine/trans to wheels is through the axles, and they have CV joints in them. Is it possible you have some loose subframe bolts and things shift around when you raise/lower the car?
