Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus or Pilot Exalto A/S ? Posted by Gene N [Email] (#1094) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gene N) on Tue, 24 Nov 2009 09:02:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Does anyone have any experience with the Pilot Sport A/S Plus? I have a set of Pilot Exalto A/S tires on both my 9-3SS and my wife's Accord, and they are an excellent all-season tire, if there is such a thing. I especially like the fact that they do not get loud as they wear down (this is my second set on the Accord--40,000 miles). At one time, I had a set of Continental Extreme Contacts that were a dream for the first 5,000 miles and pure agony for the next 35,000. The noise at 70 mph would drown out the radio with the windows rolled up.
The Sport A/S Plus and the Exalto A/s are the same price, i.e., ridiculous, but the $70 rebate from Costco brings them down to the merely overpriced range (around $120/tire). I would be replacing a set of Bridgestone G009's put on the car by the previous owner. These tires are also noisy and not very good in the dry or the rain.
So, does anyone have an opinion on Sport A/S Plus tire or its predecessor, the Sport A/S, that might convince me to switch on my 9-5?
