which would I be looking at with a broken spring? the key cylinder or the actual ignition switch below it? or somethig else? or spring is interchangeable? I have a used spare of entire shift/ignition assembly. still has the key in it. actually cant get the key out. could I use any of those parts? or would we be talking re-keying?
it's drivable as I manually switch it back to ON very quickly but not a good long-term solution. I want to correct ASAP. too much potential to grind the starter and flywheel.
