What a pleasure to be able to test drive this car even if it was for only 10 minutes.
In person the car looks fantastic and better than photos. It's sleek ( I personally think it looks like a BMW 7 series or A8 with its length ) and what a blast to drive. The rear view of the car in the night with the LED lights across the back is simply cool. Definitely a step up from our current 9-5 in terms of being a premium brand. The interior materials are better than the current 9-5. I wish they would eliminate some of the flat black plastic and replace it with more contrasting pieces. I agree the flat black center console should be upgraded in the future like the concept car. As it stands it still looks premium.
And I was comfortable immediately as soon as I started driving it. The blind spots were minimal. The side mirrors were large. The car was so quiet inside. If there is any negative, I really feel the weight of this car with the V6 and XWD. Oddly, I didn't sense the large dimensions of this car. And the rear leg room is just amazing. I'm around 6' and my wife is inch or so shorter and she had 3-4 inches to spare.
So it's a great car. See and drive it for yourself.
