Steve,
The Saab 9-5 has a modern sophisticated suspension system. It is not unlike many cars on the road.
The old 900 had a beam rear axle so there were few camber and toe problems, and the handling was not great either.
I know you like to think there is a design flaw in the 9-5. I personally don't think so, but we I am never going to win that argument.
I am a Porsche enthusiast as well as Saab. I invite you to look at the Porsche sites and see all the discussion on suspension adjustments and modifications for street and track use. Sophisticated suspensions need to be maintained and checked now and then.
We run lots of camber on rear engined Porsches because that is how they work best. Our tires wear funny and they don't cup if the toe is right. If we don't want them to wear funny we adjust the camber.
On a street application you want the best compromise of handling and tire wear.
Cars should leave the factory built to factory specs. the specs change as they are used and the miles pile up. They need to be maintained. They are machines and they need to be taken care of. that is part of car ownership.
If you want them perfect all the time........lease it, have dealer fix it under warranty and turn it in.
