The way I interpret the markings on the coolant reservoir are that the "KALT/COLD" with the line under it is just connected to the arrow pointing to the seam in the reservoir. THAT is the maximum level to fill it to while the system is COLD. The line under the writing does not represent any sort of maximum fill level. It IS a bit confusing if you ask me, but that's how I read it.
