When it's first started in cold weather the V6 makes a TON of white "smoke." I had one a couple years ago and I would literally leave a trail up my driveway and down the road, probably about 500 feet behind me. It looked like the space shuttle taking off. My neighbors across the street also have a 2001 9-5 V6 and theirs does the same thing. It clears up after the engine warmed a bit. The engine is programmed to run very rich (lots of gas) when it's cold because they had stalling issues apparently. Running rich makes a lot of smoke. The smoke should have a sort of foul gassy smell to it. If it smells sweet though it may very well be the head gasket, although these engines almost never have head gaskets go bad unless they're horribly abused.
As for the radiator, it would be wise to just replace it.
