Valvoline MaxLife ATF in '03 9-5

Hello All - new to this site and a recently new Saab owner. I have a 2003 9-5 and it's been shifting very hard when moving from Park to Drive/Reverse (110,000 miles). After reading many posts, I think it's time to flush the ATF and hope for the best. I was all set on tackling this myself and even ordered a case of Toyota Type IV. I just found a local shop that will do a complete flush for about the same cost as doing it myself. I am hesitant, however, because they use Valvoline MaxLife. Is this ok? Any thoughts or reason why I shouldn't use MaxLife or any problems with doing a complete flush at the shop versus the 3 step flush/refill method?
All comments are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
