Since the oil pan was removed and cleaned, I don't think it could be a plugged screen unless it was some unusual amount of sludge clinging to the sides of engine block and up in the timing chain area.
And also, if it is a pile of debris under the pickup screen that gets sucked up, it usually never falls back down until the engine is shut off.
I wonder if it could be some kind of cavitation issues with a worn oil pump or bearings but you would have to hook up a manual oil pressure gauge and make sure you have a mechanical low oil pressure and not an electrical issue.
