SAAB lives by their loyalty: My dealer states a 60% retention and that is what keeps them in business. I for one tried hard to buy anything but a SAAB after having 3 over the past 30 years but alas the economics and the Aero won. I had a buyer looking for a car, an Audi S8 or and Audi A8L, for a while but couldn't find a Pearl White with tan leather interior with under 40K miles. What he could find was a ton of brand new SAABs bought back by SAAB. He shared this tidbit after going to several auctions and seeing me in my 9000S. This tells me SAAB will work with you. That said I would push for an oil pan off the crashed car thay are using for parts in the back (Short-term until the SWEDEN PAN gets here) and work with them for 1 week to get the linkage right. I have had a blast tooling around in my 2002 Aero, now with 1418 miles. I did drain the oil at purchase, 3 miles on it, and had synthetic and a new filter put on. I will change the oil and filter at 2K also and every 3K thereafter. I prefer Mobil 1 0-40
