You must work for them to change your oil every 3,000 miles.
OK, I'm new to the turbocharged world. I realize that they have different requirements. So I have things to learn here.
But, for normally-aspirated engines, driven under the manufacturer's "normal driving conditions", changing your oil every 3,000 miles is throwing money (and time) away. But hey, it's your money (and time). Someone has to keep those Jiffy-Lube places in business. Of course, there is the environmental aspects, but most don't worry about that.
What I'm really interested in is your changing to synthetic with only 3 miles on the engine. Does the Aero come with full-synthetic oil in it? If not, then does it follow the break-in of 99% of the engines out there, where dino oil is used for proper seating of the rings? That the reduced friction of synthetic oil actually works against you in producing the strongest engine possible?
thanks
Ed
2002 Aero SportWagon being delivered Thursay or Friday, don't know how many miles on it, hopefully only 3
