valet key?

wouldn't a valet need to be able to park + lock the car? but maybe not get into the trunk?
what I really need is a key that will allow me to drive the car but just unlock it manually (don't need the remote)... like the old style "transponder" keys that used a separate banana remote (see faq)... unfortunately, those don't exist for 2004+ (larger shaft) and apparently are no longer available even for older cars (if I read John's post above correctly)...
maybe I can leave a set of programmed guts from a 3rd key in the car somewhere + carry a permanently gutted key body with me... how close do the guts need to be to the ignition to communicate with TWICE? presumably having 2 keys in the car doesn't pose a problem? that might say something also...
I'll have to play around and test some of this I guess...
