PFB- If the dash indicator for gear selection does not match the shifter then you need to adjust the trans shift cable to sync those. It will put TCM into limp mode in this condition. Just remove plastic lock for cable adjustment, select park position on shifter and then move metal arm on trans to park position too. This will get you very close.
If the dash indicator stays in Park and does not move at all, your NSS is internally defective. Also, check to make sure all your pins are seated properly in the harness. I have seen them get pushed out before and not make correct contact.
